1. Maintaining an Appropriate Temperature in the Chicken House
Temperature has a great influence on the laying rate of pheasants. The optimum temperature for pheasants to lay eggs is 18-25 C. When the temperature exceeds 28 C, the appetite of pheasants decreases, and their egg production also decreases. Therefore, in order to make pheasants lay more eggs in summer, the temperature of the henhouse must be controlled below 28 C. When the temperature is too high, the following measures can be taken:
1)Setting up heat insulation layer. Foam plastic insulation layer is installed under the roof of the pheasant house.
2)green. Planting grass and trees around the chicken house to shade the ground, setting up shading net on the top net of the chicken house stadium, planting luffa, grapes, vines and other vines outside the field.
3)Reflect sunlight. White the walls and top of the chicken house with white paint or 6% lime milk.
4)Enhance ventilation. Open doors and windows, floor windows and exhaust fans for ventilation.
5)Reduce the feeding density of pheasants (1-2 chickens per meter 2) and reduce the total indoor heat production of pheasants.
6)Roof spray cooling method. When the temperature exceeds 30 C, the water pump sprays cold water and well water on the roof of the chicken house.
7)Cooling by water curtain. Conditionally, air intake and water curtain are set at the front door of the closed chicken house, air outlet is set at the back door, and high-power exhaust fan is used. When ventilating, the windows on both sides should be closed to prevent the hot air from flowing into the room. The indoor temperature can be reduced by 3 to 5 degrees Celsius.
2. Strengthen Feeding Management
1)Feed more vitamins. Because vitamin B, vitamin E, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12 have the function of regulating body temperature.
2)Supply sufficient, fresh and clean cool well water. In high temperature weather, the water intake of pheasants is 3-4 times of that of their food intake, so that the water tank is not short of water, and the water temperature should be 10 C. Change water diligently.
3)calcium supplement. Dusk is the second feeding peak in a day for pheasants. Calcium powder, shell powder or bone powder should be added to the feed in time.
4)Deodorize and strengthen ventilation, sweep chicken manure frequently. The feces and bedding in the house should be cleaned at least once every two days.
5)Change management. Feed the chickens before the temperature rises in the morning and after the temperature drops, allowing them to feed at a cooler time of the day.
3. Changing feed formula and adjusting feeding methods
Increasing the content of protein and calcium, phosphorus and vitamins in feed, conditional farms can feed some small fish, shrimp or earthworms, maggots, and some anti-stress substances such as vitamin C (454 mg/kg feed), sodium bicarbonate (2.3 g/kg feed) or 1% succinate in feed and drinking water, which can enhance the intake of protein and thus increase the intake of protein. Egg production. In order to improve the appetite of chickens, fresh green juicy feed such as green vegetables, radish and watermelon should be added to the diet when changing the feed formula.
4. Strict disinfection
We should insist on disinfecting the ground, walls, cage and flume of chicken houses. We should choose small disinfectant disinfectants such as viruses and bacteria to disinfect the spray. The summer chicken house spray disinfect for 25 minutes to strengthen ventilation, not only to kill pathogens, but also to reduce the temperature (4~6 degrees Celsius), spray disinfection should be carried out around 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. At the same time, attention should be paid to killing rats, mosquitoes, flies and insects in order to ensure the health of chickens and stable laying of eggs.
